The part most people don't see

Modern cars can look finished before they are fully ready.

A forward-facing camera may sit near your rearview mirror and help support features such as Lane Keep Assist. When the windshield moves, the camera's view can matter. That is why a glass replacement can raise a calibration question even when the new glass looks perfect.

Forward-facing camera

The camera may read lane markings, vehicles, and road conditions for supported features.

Driver assistance

Systems such as Lane Keep Assist can depend on accurate camera information.

After glass work

Your vehicle information helps determine whether calibration should be discussed.

Mobile in the Valley

A specialist can come to an agreed location when mobile service is available for your vehicle.

Calibration, in plain language

The right method depends on the vehicle.

There is no one-size-fits-all answer. Your vehicle's year, model, equipment, and the work performed help shape the conversation.

Static calibration

A controlled stationary setup using the equipment and targets appropriate for the vehicle.

Dynamic calibration

A drive-based process in conditions specified for the vehicle system.

Dual calibration

When the vehicle calls for both static and dynamic calibration steps.

Bring the details, not the jargon

A good first call can be simple.

You do not need to diagnose the system yourself. If you have them, keep these details nearby:

  • Vehicle year, make, and model
  • When the windshield work was completed
  • Any dashboard message or warning light
  • Your current location in the Phoenix Metro
SYSTEM NOTE / 01

A warning light is a question, not a diagnosis.

If something changed after the glass work, write down what you see and encounter. A clear conversation is a better starting point than guessing.

Clear answers to help you decide what to do next.

What is ADAS calibration?

ADAS calibration is the process of checking and, when needed, adjusting the cameras and sensors that support driver-assistance features. After a windshield replacement, calibration may be part of getting those systems ready to use again.

Do I need calibration after windshield replacement?

Whether calibration is required depends on the vehicle, whether it has a camera, and the windshield work performed. Complete Calibrations can review your vehicle information and help you understand the next step.

What is the difference between static and dynamic ADAS calibration?

Static ADAS calibration uses a controlled setup with targets or other equipment while the vehicle is stationary. Dynamic ADAS calibration uses a drive under specified conditions so the vehicle system can observe and learn from its surroundings. Some vehicles call for one method, while others may call for both.

What is dual calibration?

Dual calibration generally means a vehicle requires both static and dynamic calibration steps. The appropriate process depends on the vehicle's specifications and the system involved; the team can help identify what applies to your vehicle.

Can you calibrate Lane Keep Assist?

Lane Keep Assist can rely on a forward-facing camera and related driver-assistance systems. When calibration is indicated for your vehicle, Complete Calibrations can help with the applicable calibration service.

Do you work with Toyota Safety Sense, Subaru EyeSight, Honda Sensing, and Tesla?

Complete Calibrations works with a range of vehicles and driver-assistance systems, including Toyota Safety Sense, Subaru EyeSight, Honda Sensing, and Tesla systems. Availability depends on the specific year, model, system, and service area, so please call with your vehicle details.

Can you come to my house or workplace?

Mobile service is what we offer! We can come out to your home, workplace, or another agreed location in the Phoenix Metro Area. The site and driving conditions must be suitable for the procedure your vehicle requires, so share the vehicle location when you call.

How long does ADAS calibration take?

The time varies by vehicle, the calibration method, site conditions, and whether the system needs static, dynamic, or dual calibration. Call with your year, make, and model so the team can discuss what to expect before the visit.

Can I hire you if another company installed my windshield?

Yes, because we don't replace windshields ourselves we have partnered with many auto glass shops throughout the Valley. So please contact Complete Calibrations even if a dealership, auto glass shop, or another installer replaced the windshield.

What should I do if warning lights or driver-assistance features changed after glass work?

Note the message or light, keep your vehicle information handy, and contact Complete Calibrations. The team can help you understand whether an ADAS calibration conversation is the appropriate next step. We can even have one of our technicians come out and perform a diagnostic scan on your vehicle

What cities in the Phoenix Metro Area do you serve?

Essentially all of them! To list off just some of them: Phoenix, Tempe, Scottsdale, Glendale, Tolleson, Peoria, Surprise, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Queen Creek, Cave Creek. We also service Maricopa, Florence, Buckeye, and Casa Grande. For an additional fee we also service Tucson, although it depends on our technicians schedule.

Do you accept same day appointments?

We certainly do, however, please call and check our availability as it largely depends on your location and our technicians schedule. Typically if we aren't available on the same day, we will be available to perform your vehicle's ADAS calibration the next business day. We operate Monday - Saturday, 8AM - 5PM

My backup camera is not working or has been replaced, can you calibrate it?

Those cameras are not part of the ADAS safety system, they do not need to be calibrated. Currently we focus on calibrating the forward facing cameras found near the rear view mirror. These help with the lane keep assist safety feature. A calibration helps make sure your camera is correctly seeing lane lines and other objects after the windshield is replaced. We also calibrate new lane keep assist cameras that have been installed if needed.

Do you perform radar calibrations?

Not at the moment!
